Chronic knee pain is increasingly robbing the quality of life of senior citizens. Years of walking on two legs irritates and ultimately damages the knee joint, it's cartilage, and soft tissues. Many of our patients have tried physical therapy, opiate and anti-inflammatory drugs and still continue to have pain. Often times they feel these treatments did little for their pain, and even less to alleviate their condition. While replacement surgery is an option, many of our patients are uncomfortable with such an invasive procedure or they are not good candidates for surgery. We have seen a number of patients that come to us with pain even after having micro or replacement surgery. Knee pain is often times due to chronic irritation and damage to the ligaments and tendons around the knee. Instead of just numbing the pain, our objectives are to increase the circulation to these tissues and reduce the chronic inflammation so they can heal. Our treatments can help you achieve tissue stability. We also utilize technology which helps us determine where the biomechanical stress is coming from, and provide us with simple tools to help stabilize your knee joints and take pressure off the damaged tissues and cartilage. This allows you to put your best foot forward (both feet) and enjoy a better quality of life. |
